Luis obtained his law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in 2014 with his professional thesis “La tutela judicial efectiva de los derechos colectivos en México”. Since December 2014, Mr. Fuentes has been part of SEPLAW | Sepúlveda y Díaz Noriega, S.C., and was named partner since 2018.

He has more than 15 years of experience mainly in the area of civil litigation, commercial, constitutional law and administrative law, where he has participated in dispute resolution and counseling in the areas of energy law, telecommunications, biotechnology, product regulation, public contracts and coordinating product recalls with U.S. and Canada regulators.

He has advised and represented several international clients for matters such as cross-border litigation, class actions, enforcement of administrative contracts, product regulation, and administrative matters, including importation requirements, licenses, and authorizations.

Mr. Fuentes has also collaborated as advisor for Mexican Law in international proceedings in the Netherlands and in the U.S.

He has been distinguished as a global leader in Who’s Who Legal and Lexology Index, regarding product liability defense.

Mr. Fuentes’ native language is Spanish and he is fluent in speaking and writing English, and is admitted to practice in Mexico, coordinating with local lawyers in almost all states of Mexico.
