Alonso Zárate is an attorney graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho (J.D., 2014), where he also earned a Master’s Degree in Constitutional Law (2018–2021). He completed a postgraduate specialization in Administrative Liability and the National AntiCorruption System (2021–2022) at the Center for Advanced Legal Studies in Tax and Administrative Law. He began his academic path at Universidad Panamericana, completing high school in 2009.

Alonso has extensive experience in administrative, constitutional, and civil litigation, as well as commercial arbitration under ICC rules. Since November 2019, he has served as a Senior Associate at Sepúlveda y Díaz Noriega, S.C., where he designs and executes legal strategies in highstakes cases, particularly in highly regulated sectors such as energy, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and private security. He previously worked at Grupo Televisa, Banco de México, and law firms specializing in public procurement and telecommunications.

He has also developed a robust practice in family law, particularly in international child abduction and restitution cases, representing both mothers and fathers in complex proceedings under the Hague Convention and the InterAmerican Convention on the International Return of Children. His work includes securing provisional suspensions and injunctive relief before federal courts.

He has lectured in amparo and electoral law diploma programs at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and served as an adjunct professor in oral justice systems in Mexico.

His main areas of expertise include strategic litigation, administrative liability of private parties, constitutional remedies (amparo), economic regulation, and public law.
